Maria Fonda born May 12, 1764 in Caughnawaga, NY (now known as Fonda, NY). Daughter of Adam Fonda and Neeltje Bries married John J. Veeder (b. 1755) on May 11, 1788 at the Caughnawaga Dutch Reformed Church. She was the grandaughter of my ancestors Douw Jellise Fonda and Maritje Vrooman. Her relationship to me is as follows; 1st cousin, 6 generations removed. I have a great deal on this family but have never found a "Fonda Family Book."
