My great-grandmother (Otis Robinson) died in San Francisco, CA in 1994 (she lived to be 100). However, she was born in 1893 and lived in I believe Butler County, Alabama. My entire Robinson Family side and Fomby side (My grandmother Susie Robinson-Fomby amd my mother who was 2 at the time and whose name was Edith Fomby) left for California. First my great-grandmother and great-uncles and aunts all left Alabama for California in I believe the early 30's, then my Granmother Susie Robinson-Fomby and the rest of the Robinson's left @ 1939 - 1940. My mother said she really never knew her grandfather. She says he was killed on the railroad tracks (he was a Fomby). I am not sure if this is correct, because the family never spoke of him. Would you have information on my Fomby grandfather, or any information on Otis Robinson's family and life in Alabama. Also note, Otis Robinson's husband also died young. They had 9 children.
