Hardy Moore was my GG grandfather, son of Hardy and Edith Berilla Folsom (which makes us cousins!). The Folsoms were from Foulsham, England (which is where the name comes from). They were Puritans, and came to New England around 1615, running from a "church fight."Some Folsoms moved south in the 1800's, and ran into the Moore family in N Carolina, and they continued to work together until Hardy moved to Paris TX.Some other Folsoms married into the Choctaw tribe, and came with them to Oklahoma.Everyone in this country named Folsom is related, so if you meet one, you can come up and say 'hello cousin!"A book, written byWm Daugherty called Since the Land which gives detailed information. If you send me an e-mail, I'll send you a pdf of it.
