John Followell - born in Virginia circa 1717

Greetings, cousins!
I have read several entries on the Followell Family Geneology Forum, and have found it all very interesting.

My Followill/Followwill/Followell trail goes back through Marquis Followell, as he is my great-great-great-great grandfather.

I have traced my line back to John Followell (or Followay), being born about 1717 in Fincastle Virginia. My assumptions are that his father was born in England, and was brought over at an early age. Or he may have been born in the colonies. (???) I have assumptions that his roots are in Dartford, Kent, but have not been able to confirm. Does anyone have confirmed info as to where he came from?
