While searching in the Seward, Seward Co., Nebraska marriage records, I came across this info on a Susan SHERWOOD mar to Frederick F. MCINTIRE. Hope it helps someone.

I, Frederick F. MCINTIRE; of Seward Co, Ne; 41 years. I Frederick F. MCINTIRE of Seward Co., NEbraska, age 41 years, do solemnly swear that I am acquainted with Mr Frederick F. MCINTIRE and Miss Susan SHERIFF (I think it should be SHERWOOD) who are parties for the; marriage of whom a license is applied for; that said Frederick F. MCINTIRE is of the age of Forty-one years and upward; of sound contracting mind, and unmarried. that said Susan SHERWOOD (here you can see that the name SHERIFF was erased and the name SHERWOOD was written in) is of the age of Forty years and upward; of sound contracting mind, and unmarried.
I furthermore do solemnly swear that the following schedule, containing the names of the aforesaid parties, their age, color place of birth, residence and parents' names, is correct in every particular, to the best of my knowledge, information, and belief, to-wit:

21 January 1879 at residence of John RUMSEY in Seward County, according to law and by authority, I duly joined in Marriage Mr. Fred F. MCINTIRE amd Miss Susan SHERWOOD and there were present as witnesses W.R. FOLLOWELL and Melissa FOLLOWELL. Given under my hand, the 31 day of January A.D. 1879. J. L. C. LANNING, Justice of the Peace.
There were no other records with this marriage.
