ARTHUR(b.abt.1841)SON OF WILLIAM FOLKARD & CELIA CLARKE

I have recently discovered that my wife's grandmother's maiden name was Folkarde (with an 'e'). Her great-great grandfather, Arthur Folkarde moved to Scotland from Suffolk where he was a public school teacher in Dunbar. He had three sons who reached adulthood: William, also a teacher, Arthur, a tax clerk and Herbert, a grocer and wine merchant. Arthur, snr's death certificate records his parents as William Folkard and Celia Clarke. This is as far back as I can get on this line. I have found a William Folkard married to a Mary Clarke on the LDS website but don't know wether Mary and Celia are the same person. Arthur, snr's death certificate gives his age on death as 88 in 1930 making his birth about 1841. Perhaps it was he who added the 'e' to Folkard. (I even have an 1881 census spelling Folkardo - I put this down to illegibility!)
If anyone can help I would be grateful.
