Yes the Folgers are the coffee people. Story goes that a Folger went to Calif. during the Gold Rush and arrived too late so he stayed and decided to import coffee from South America. No the Starbucks are not related to the coffee people they just liked the name. I am related to both families and it was a cousin who asked the Starbuck Coffee people and I heard the Folger story when I visited Nantucket last fall.
