Hello to the "new" people, although I haven't done too much lately with my Folden connection. My maternal grandfather was Charles Riley Folden; his father was Charles Edward Folden and his mother was Eliza Franklin-Folden. They had several children. My sister and I have been back east twice now; first time to Ohio, where we had lived for several years(born there in Cambridge). This past summer we included VA and visited with a cousin, Teresa Ferrell. We have had so much trouble in locating any information concerning our grandfather; apparently he had several "first" names. He had married at a very young age to a woman who was a lot older than he. He apparently had been a Pinkerton Man and on his way back from SanFrancisco, stopped in Columbus, OH and met our grandmother and married. They had one child, our mother. Never had the opportunity to meet him as he died in a mining accident in 1925. I would say we are all related and wouldn't it be wonderful to meet.
I now live near Seattle, WA and we have considered WA our home state since the 1960's. Before that I had lived in California for several years; several of my relatives still live there.
