Gladys,

Thank you for asking. Every response I have had indicates George Fogleman and Sarah "Sally" Hoozers are the parents.

My real interest at this time is to try to find out more about Elizabeth's husband, Thomas G. Shaw, and her children. Along this line I have hit a roadblock.

My grandfather, Thomas Parker Shaw was born in St Landry in 1882. I expect there are at least two links I need to make to connect my grandfather to Thomas and Elizabeth.

My greatgrandfathers name was William Gowen Shaw (m. Olivia Williamson Powell). Census info for the T.P. Shaw family and family records indicate that William and Olivia were both from Georgia. However, I don't have good dates for either g-grandparent. The locations don't add up, but I understand that Elizabeth's husband was Thomas Gowen Shaw, so I just keep thinking there is something here in this line. Do you have any hard information on Thomas G. Shaw?

I just keep plugging, hoping that I will find something solid soon.

Karen Shaw Spalding
