To Paul Walker, about Temperance Fogleman

Paul, I heard about your query at the Fogleman Reunion on May 17 in Alamance County. I tried to call you on the phone, heard the name of the town you live in and even talked briefly to your Mom. Some of the Elliotts told me who "Paul" might be.

My sister and I are currently researching William and Barbara Fogleman (our gggrandparents). We have traced Tempy's relatives to our home community and even know several of them. About the best answer to your query is that there are detailed records at the May Library in Burlington, historical section on all the Fogleman lines. Ask to see "Rev.Offman's records". Peter and Peter Fogleman Jr. were "poor", so I kind of doubt there would be any wills and estates anywhere from that far back. It is said that Peter Jr. and Hannah Boggs are buried (no marker exists)at Pleasant Hill Lutheran Chapel on Pleasant Hill Church Rd. in Alamance County. The church dates to the early 1800s and is currently unused. You might consider coming to one of the Fogleman reunions. We learned so much that way from people who have been doing Fogleman research for many years.

Otherwise, please email me because we are trying to complete the family tree. For example, Dorothy, and Maggie's spouses and children. I assume you are descended from Dorothy. I know a little about Carvie's people from talking to his son and daughter-in-law.

Thanks,
Pam
