Thank you.My information is a little more detailed.

Hiram's first wife was Lucinda Robinson. She and Hiram married in 1832 in North Carolina, probably in Guilford County. Her parents are given as John Robinson/Roberson and Lucy Chapel but I have found no documentation. I do believe Lucinda is related, possibly a sibling, to the following early Cumberland County residents: Allen Robinson; Juda Fowler; and Eunice Brown. Lucinda and Hiram had a number of children but I have only been able to identify three: Malana, James and Peter Jefferson. Lucinda died about 1858 or 1859, possibility from complication of giving birth to son Peter.

Nancy Branson was born in 1832 in Virginia, the daughter of Andrew Branson and Elizabeth Greenwall. This family later moved to Ohio, then Indiana and finally Cumberland County. The family was in Randolph County Indiana in 1850 but is listed in the 1855 Cumberland County Census. Andrew died before 1860 and Elizabeth died in the late 1870's, having lived with her children over the years.

Daughter Nancy married John Ward Pennington about 1853.The family is listed in the 1855 census on the same page as Hiram Bo[M}an. She and John had two children, Emily and Andrew. John died about 1858 and Nancy married Hiram sometime before the 1860 census. She and Hiram had six childrem: Hiram, William, Sissie, Mary Matilda, Samuel and Emery. Hiram and Sissie died in their teens.

Several Cumberland county publications state that Nancy Branson's name was Dabnor and confuse Nancy Branson and Lucinda Robinson. It also states that "Lucinda Dabnor" was born in Kentucky. However, Nancy is listed as "Nancy D." in the 1850 census and the Dabnor name is not cited.I can find no association of a Dabnor name with the Branson families. It may simply be a pet name. Existing Information clearly identify Nancy as Nancy Branson: The Pennington children were in the household of Hiram and Nancy Bowman in 1860 (incorrectly listed as Bowman children) and in 1870, where they are correctly identified as Pennington children. Andrew Pennington identified his mother as Nancy Branson on his marriage license. There also appears no connection with Kentucky - Nancy Branson Bowman consistently listed her birthplace as Virginia.
