Hiram Bowman was a brother to Elizabeth and my gg-grandmother, Eva May (Bowman) Fogleman. It is believed but not confirmed that they are the children of Peter and Catherine (Farmer) Bowman, dau of Christian Farmer, Sr. (died 1822, Guilford Co)

Hiram's other siblings were: David Peter (1804-1865), married Terrancy Euliss; and Mary E. (1806-?), married John Ingold.

Are you a descendent of Elizabeth Bowman Fogleman? If so, I can put you in touch with a Bowman researcher from Cumberland Co. My Fogleman/Ward/Bowman material is in Illinois at my mother's home, or I could fill in more for you perhaps.
