I am looking for additional biographical information on the man above. I have his file from the National Archives and this is all they had.

J. E. Fogleman
Admitted to #9 Hospital in Richmond, Virginia on July 15, 1863 and transferred to Chimbarazo on July 16. Issued clothing there on December 15, 1863 at age 22.

Company G was recruited mainly from Tuscaloosa County with a few from Jefferson County. Did he survive the war? Was he ever wounded? When and where did he die? When and where was he born? What does his initials mean? Any help would be appreciated.
