My great grandfather was Mark Foggitt. We also thought the name was derived from Foggia in Italy. Our myth was that they were marble cutters who went to yorkshire to work in the big houses. Mark Foggitt had a long and varied career in South Africa. An aunt has a petition signed by Cecil John Rhodes asking him to stand for parliament. My mother has researched him a bit but i would be grateful for any information
