I am trying to fill in some ancestry for my 2nd Great Grandmother. I know that her mother's name was Nancy from Nancy's bible which Alice used and later came into possession of my grandfather, George Knox. I now have the bible. Nancy married James B Tackett. James acted as Alice's step-father. I do not know if he adopted her but Alice used his name, Tackett. Alice was also referred to as Sophy. Nancy may have been from Missouri. Alice was born in Arkansas [1859]. The Knox line if well documented. If a family link is found, I will share info. Thanks, Sara Knox McAnally
