I purchased in Ashland, OR, the subject undated photo of three young men, identified on the back of the mount:

Max Adolph Fogel, born 14 Sep 1879 in Zydawo, Posen, Germany (immigrated 1881), died 20 Dec 1951 in St. Helens, Columbia Co., OR, was the son of an unknown Fogel (?-1851), and Caroline A. (maiden name unknown), born Oct 1845 in Germany (immigrated 1881), died 1918.Max was employed as a farmer and a skid greaser for a lumber camp.On 22 Apr 1902, he married Frances Henrietta Payne, born 25 Aug 1884 in Columbia Co., OR, died 9 Aug 1960 in Forest Grove, Washington Co., OR.The couple had 7 children (all born in OR): Lillian E. Fogel, born about 1903; Alice C. Fogel, born about 1906; Mildred Louise Fogel, born about 1908; Dorothy Fogel, born about 1912; Clayton Fogel, born about 1916; Frances Fogel, born about 1918; and Jesse Fogel, born 1919.
