Hello Family Fochs
We are one of the components of FOCHS family in Reus, Spain, 100 km near Barcelona.
We investigate our name Fochs and found direct descendents since year 1500 who live in our city.
As far as we know the name Fochs was used to calculate the number of families living near. Therefore some city had 25 fochs, or 25 families.
It was in older spanish, also in catalan lenguage used since about 1800 in Spain. Then part of Spain use a modern sapnish, catalan, galician, vasque.
Therefore our name FOCHS is considered one of the olders names which in the actuality is used.
Any of the Fochs families who wants to contact me can send a messague by e-mail
We also knows that in Germany many families has de name Fochs. Could all them proceeds fomr the same area? or each take this name from any particularity in the past.
