Yes he married Mary A. Morse and then disappeared. I looked for him for years finally found him in the State Prison (Charlestown State Prison) 1860 Federal census for forgery. I don't know where and when he died. His wife moved to Vermont and re married. I can find no record of divorce from G.T.Fobes. That was when they changed their name to Forbes. Probably out of shame. The Morses were proud old Yankees.
