That did it. I can't thank you enough for spending the time trying to help. I don't know why I never took the time to pursue the "copy and paste" feature of Word. I guess because I had the Screen Shot and just depended upon that. I do believe you are right about Screen Shot. Now that I think of it, I don't believe I have used it with the newer computer when I updated to XP. I purchased this computer about the time my husband was starting to fail, and don't believe I used FO after that until recently. So they may very well be incompatible. I have tried to uninstall Screen Shot several times so I could again install it and don't feel that it ever was installed properly.
Anyway, once I put the tree view into the document, all I had to do was click on it and change the "text wrapping" feature from black squares to white squares around the edges. Once I do that, I can crop, change sizes, move it all around.
It was important to the book, as I had spent quite a chunk of change to send the Clan Genealogist/Historian from Scotland to London to do family research. He didn't learn a great deal, but did find out we had at least one error (the error came from LDS records in Salt Lake City). Of course that all needed to be corrected, so needed to change some of the FO names. That meant all the family trees in the book were wrong and needed to be corrected. There was no way I could do that without redoing them. That's where you came in. So again, thank you so much. You are a very good teacher. Maybe this will help others.
