FOW ver 9.0 -- upgrading computer

I am needing to update my computer (currently using WinME and hamster is beginning to limp!!) I see posts here saying FOW doesn't do well with VISTA op system. Does it work on XP, assuming I can still get that op system?? I've got lots of stuff in FOW format and hate to lose it. Even avoided upgrading FOW to hang onto Access-friendly database. Any help appreciated. Any feedback re upgrade options welcome
