Famiy Origin is now sold as Roots Magic. Same features, same author, just a different name.
Yes, it can. When you go to print it gives you choices. You can include notes or not, pictures or not, siblings or not. You can pick the font face and font size.
Now, if you go back to Charlemagne on twelve lines and have a 3,000-word biography of each person, there is no software in the world that will print it all out on 10 pages. If you print just name and parents of your direct ancestors, and only go back 6 generations, you could get it into two pages.
You can "Print" to an RTF file, then open the RTF file up with "Word" and tweak it; margins, spacing, whatever. If you go hog-wild and DO have the 3,000-word biographies, you can E-mail the 12 MB electronic document to Kinko's and they will make you eight copies, instead of you buying half a dozen ink jet cartridges.
You can burn a read-only version of RM plus selected data bases to a CD, too. If you kept one data base for each grandparent, you could send a CD just right for each first and second cousin to each one. The "Read Only" version means you can view the data on a PC, without wasting trees.
