You can backup to a CD if your CD burning software allows multiple drive letter access. There is some preperation required for this kind of access, but you can write items to the CD about like you did to a floppy until you CLOSE the CD. Until you close the CD, it probably won't be readable by other cd drives. Once you do close the CD, you can no longer write to it, but it should be readable by any CD reader.
Or you can backup to your hard drive, then copy that to a cD.
Remember that a Family Origins backup does not contain the multimedia files, you have to back them up some other way.
So, you may be ahead to create a folder on your hard drive just for backups, backup FOW to that folder, copy your Multimedia file folders to that folder, then using your CD burning software, burn the whole thing at once.
