Flynt Younger T and his wife Paralee are captured in the Lincoln County Tennessee 1910 Census. Living with them is their daughter Tommie(Flynt)Masters and grandaughters Loucile and Amie Lee. Next door is their son Oscar with his wife Dessie anf their children. Many have assumed that the "T" in the name Younger T stood for Tarpley. This is incorrect. The "T" stood for "Thomas". Paralee's husband was not Younger Tarpley but Younger Thomas Flynt.
The proof of this is as follows:
Paralee and Younger Thomas Flynt had 9 children including Hiram Peter Flynt and Younger Edward Flynt. Hiram Peter Flynt is captured in the 1900 Census for lincoln Co. TN as Peter H Flynt married to a Nora E (maiden name was Ellen Beard. Peter's children at that time were Alvy (your Alva ?), Mamie (also called Maggie), Anna, and Carl. Paralee's son Younger Thomas Flynt married three times: 1) Mamie Briscoe, 2)Mary Askew, and 3)Maggie Belle Sanders. This year (2005)I located Maggie Belle's two daughters Mary Jean (Flynt) Robinson and Evelyn R. Flynt who are still living and reside in the Dallas and surrounding area. They had old pictures of their grandmother Paralee, their father Younger Eward Flynt, and their mother Maggie Belle Flynt. They corrected me when I mentioned Paralee's husband (their grandfather) as being Younger Tarpley. They were adamant that his name was Thomas NOT Tarpley! They had the original obituary of their father Younger Edward cut from a Dec. 1948 newspaper which mentioned the late Mr. and Mrs. Younger "Thomas" Flynt. It is hard to argue against newpaper obituaries and living grand daughters. Younger T. who was married to Paralee was Younger Thomas Flynt.
