Hi John Greening Flye, I'm so tickled that we've connected for you. And thanks for the latter-day data. May we know a middle name for Mary MacMillan, your mother and the data on your siblings? Your additional information on Edna (Dyer) Flye is received and noted on the chart. Your idea that she may have married a Barnes for her first marriage seems quite likely as an explanation of the Dyer/Barnes information for "Edna". Does your new informant have anything on her to fill in this early marriage ? You tell me that you need the line back from James Fly and wife, Jerusha (Freeman) Flye. So here goes. They (James and Jerusha) married in Scarborough, 22 Nov 1760. She was born ca. 1741. James was born 27 Apr 1741. - The family moved to Hiram, ME. 1794. James Flye was the son of John Flye, b. ca. 1717, d. 28 Apr. 1734. He was married TWICE. First wife was Mary (Bryant) Flye, m. 22 Jan 1736. The SECOND wife was Hannah (Lunt) Flye, m. 18 April 1753. Your line is by first wife, Mary (Bryant) Fly. John Flye (b. ca. 1717) was son of James Flye, b. 1684, d. 1738 and wife Elizabeth(unk.) Flye. That James was son of John Flye, b. 1656, d. 23 Jun 1696. He died back in Torbay, Devon, England. If anyone else on the Forum can fill in any details on the individuals named, please give us the benefit of your knowledge. I do not have this (ME and MA) branch of the family off of my charts and into my computer yet. This puts me at a disadvantage in sharing what I DO have on the charts. I hope to change this, if I live long enough and retain my vigor. Keep in touch. Cousin Jim James Whitney Fly
