KATHARINE JARRED died at her home in Scott Township, Ringgold County, Iowa, March 22, l90l.

She was born in Warren County, Ind., Aug. ll, l834, and was united in marriage to EDWARD KOHAL in l852.

To this union were born six children, three sons and three daughters, of whom five survive her. She was again married in l873 to G.W. JARRED in Worth County, Mo. To this union were born one son and two daughters, of whom all survive the death of their parents.

Sister JARRED was a member of the A.C. Church at Hickory Grove, Ringgold County. The writer tried to speak words of divine comfort to a large company from Psalm l7:l5: "As for me I shall behold thy face in righteousness. I shall be satisfied when I awake with thy likeness."

Sister JARRED was the mother of MRS. FLUKE and MR. KOHAL, of Leon. Interment in the Middle Fork Cemetery.
