George Floyd (born in Nottinghamshire) died during the American Civil War (1862/3). Land was granted to his widow, but the option was never taken up. I have no idea which State it was in, only that it was thought by Eliza's nephews the railroad was(and would be) too far away. There was a copy of the deed in our family but was lost years ago.
I would really appreciate any information on this.
