There is a story in my family. There was a Gen Floyd that married a Sioux indian princess in Sioux City Iowa. There is suppose to be a musium for this side of my family. I have not found any evidence of this as of yet.
My great grandfather's name is Lawrence Edgar Floyd. I have found some information on him. His father is Harry Floyd and he married Loretta D Alwine.
Lawrence died in Grinnell Ia Oct 30, 1972 and was born on July 24, 1894.
I am sure this information is correct, however, I am not sure my other information that I have is because I originally had his name wrong.
Please, I need to confirm my family's story. If it is not correct I need to know that too. Any help is greatly appreciated.
