Sounds like your Floyd line is the same one I am researching. My great grandfather was William Floyd, b. GA, 1827. The information I have on his family is:

His brothers were Ben, Simon, Fred, Thomas, Ike and George. His sisters were Liza m. Yancy, Tessia m. Wright, Sindia m. Holland, Susie m. Holland, Sallie m. Smith.
William and Simon were listed in the 1880 Izard County Arkansas Census. William’s older children were born in AL, so he would have had to move to AR from AL between 1867 and 1872. There is also a John Floyd, age 27, listed in that census, living three household from William. I don’t know who he is but I thought he might be a son of William.

It was from your message that I learned their father’s name, John. Do you know if he was the brother of Sam(?) Floyd, (husband of Patience), who was the great grandfather of Pretty Boy? I know there is a connection between our families, but I can’t remember just exactly how.
