John G Floyd of Northampton Co North Carolina

I am looking for information on my great great great grandfather John G Floyd who lived in Northampton Co NC from about 1820 when he was born until 1905. He was married to Emily Squire. I believe his father was a Charles Floyd and that his mother was Rebecca but cant find a paper train to support this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
