I too have a Floyd line from Oglethorpe Co., GA. My line comes off of John and Jane Floyd. John was born in 1792 in SC, married Jane Vernon in 1824 in Oglethorpe Co., GA. His children were Mary Elizabeth, b. 1825 (my line), George, Simeon, Isaac, Frederick, and others. Mary E. Floyd, the oldest daughter, b. 1825 GA married Thomas Hines Yancey in 1843 in Oglethorpe Co., GA. He left her after 1850 leaving her to think he was dead with 4 children. He turned up in TX many years later. She remarried Rev. Wiley Miles in Fayette Co., AL in the early 1860's. Her parents also lived in Fayette Co.

My great-great grandfather William Harrison Yancey was her third child and he and his brother John Yancey moved to Izard Co., Ark. with their uncles, Simeon, Isaac, and George Floyd. Would my Floyds be tied to yours any way?
