Dear Justin:

I am descended out of the Floyd family in Alabama and Georgia through the Yanceys of Izard Co., Ark. My great-great grandfather was William H. Yancey of Oxford, Izard Co., Ark. His parents were Thomas H. and Mary Elizabeth Floyd Yancey of Georgia. His mother remarried to Rev. Wiley Miles and lived out here days in Fayette Co., AL. She had brothers, George, Simeon, and Isaac "Ike" Floyd who came to Arkansas with her sons William H., John, and George Yancey in the 1870's. I don't know if I have much on the Floyd family but I thought I'd get in touch with you.
