Cousin to Pretty Boy... early link to SC or GA?

Can anyone expand on the early GA and SC link to this Floyd family - pre 1800?

I grew up hearing that we are related to Pretty Boy. So I wonder how? My James B. Floyd b. 1806 in SC, married to Malissa b.1822 in MO, are parents of Margaret T. Floyd b.1848 who married in Wise Co. TX to James R. Couch b.1837 GA. We think both the Floyd and Couch families migrated from SC into Georgia to Texas. Then my Floyd and Couch kin were living in OK Indian Territory, before statehood.

So looking back at possibilites:
Charles Arthur Floyd, b. 1904 Bartow Co. GA m. Ruby Hardgraves
son of Walter Lee Floyd, b. 1878 GA, m. Mamie Helena Echols
son of Charles Murphy Floyd, b. 1857 GA, m. Mary Elizabeth Morris
son of Redding Floyd, b. about 1825 m. Catherine LNU

Does anyone else have earlier possibilites? Here is an option...
Charles Floyd b. 1789 in Newberry District (96) SC.
son of John (Captain) Floyd b. Oct 28, 1758 in Mecklenburg Co, Virginia.
