Jo Ann, hello again, we definitely need to share family information. I've been researching this year with Wynnette, from the family of Margaret's brother-in-law, Jesse Couch b1843 and Sylvania b1850. She has been researching Wise Co for years and lives nearby in Austin. Wynnette has given me land deeds, wills for both James R. Couch 1837 and Margaret T. Floyd Couch 1848 , and a court record of stolen horses. Margaret's father, James B. Floyd b1806 SC, raised horses and had land very close to the Richard Couch family. Her mother Malissa Floyd b1822 MO, was legally seperated from her husband, James and they had split their assets. The Floyds were listed in the 1850 Bowie, TX census and the 1860 Wise, TX. The family members included Robert W. Floyd b1841, Francis (f)b1845, Mary Margaret T b1848, and later in 1860 Wise Co, added children are James A b1852, and Minerva A b1855. William Quarles b1839 MO lived in their household too. In 1880 Malissa Floyd widow 57, lived near her son Robert W. Floyd and her daughter Margaret. Malissa and her son are buried near the Couch family in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Margaret's sister, Minerva Floyd married William Anderson and they lived in the same community. Minerva eventually died and Mr. Anderson remarried. Through reading the wills and Wise Co records you find Sarah A Couch married Robert T. Bonifield 1887, A.J. Johnson married to Laura Alice (no Louisa mentioned) Couch 1890, James Robert Couch married Mary Ida Phillips, Mary Catherine Couch m?. and as you know Olivia Couch married Oliver Hudson, Cordelia Couch married William Marney, and my family Thomas Jefferson Couch married Magdelena Thompson. Maybe you can help me, now here are Wise County Couches I can't identify...H.P. Barnett married Lizzie Couch 1887, Annie Couch married George Thompson 1885, Julia Couch married J.M. Rogers 1889, Annie Bell Couch married J. A. Sullivan 1891. Enjoy and I hope this is good news and not old news. Cynthia
