My name is Lela Coleman. My grandfather Henry Coleman was the son of Henry Coleman Sr. and Florence Washington-Coleman. Florence parents were Felix Washington and Sallie Smiley-Washington. They were all from Mississippi.
Florence Children were Henry (my grandfather), Ora, Felix, Gussie Mae and Dock. Felix and Sallie had a grandchild by the name of Johnnie Floyd who would be my grandfather Henry first cousin, I am trying to determine who his mother was and I would love to contact the family, I believe they moved to Houston, Texas.
I can recall Mr Johnnie Floyd as a child living in Winnsboro, Louisiana. He had chlidren by the name of Rose, Frank and one child Larvon who was killed in Vietnam, there were other children who I cannot recall. Johnnie Floyd wife name was Augusta Osteen-Floyd who I believe died in the late 50's early 60's.
