I am looking for any information on my maternal grandparents.
Enoch Edward Floyd was born in 1865 in Union City, TN. Nora Margeline (aka Magdalene) Gipson Floyd was born 1/14/1881 in Paragould, AR. Enoch had brothers named James Alfred, William and possibly George. Enoch had been previously married to Melinda Loney Rice and married Nora in 1901, the year after Melinda died. Nora had a sister named Sarah. Surviving children of Enoch and Nora were: Elbert, Mildred, Audra, Gertrude (my mother). After Nora died (6/2/20), he married Ellis Laura McKenzie, whom he met while visiting his brother William in Tennessee. Laura died in 1929.
None of the Floyds show up in the 1870 Obion County, TN census. I don't know where they moved to after Enoch was born, but he eventually went to Dunklin County, MO and Green County, AR, where he remained until his death in 1932.
