FLOYD, and HITT families in and around Edgefield Co.,SC.
These families are heavily intermarried. They were known to be in the Edgefield Co. region by the Civil War, may have been elsewhere in the US before that. I have POWELL information but my knowledge of the other families is lacking. I would like to round out my knowledge and possibly trace the Powell family backwards by learning the origins of these other families. Significant names: Wiley F. FLOYD, Eldred MCCLENDON, Charles Pickney POWELL, Starling Elder POWELL, John FLOYD, Thomas Earl HITT.
