Don't know if I can help much but there is probably a connection between your family and the Skinner/Floyd/Thomas lines as you see in my last post about the David Ezell Skinner Sr and Jr. Names tend to run in families especially these lines. The only Clara Floyd I have is daughter of William Floyd born ca 1859 and Evaline Horton. They also had other siblings, Lula who had daughter Minnie Lee born ca 1907 and died May 2000 in Woodruff, SC, Weltha, Effie, Nelson, Bernard, Celi and Carlton.
William was son of Aaron Floyd and second wife, Nancy Melissa Scott. Other children of this couple were Enoch Ahijah, Francis Pinckney who moved on to Plainville, GA and Charles. In fact it looks like most of this Floyd family moved to GA.
This Aaron was son of Samuel Floyd and Sarah Wofford. Samuel was brother to my 4th g.gf Jonathan and they were sons of Enoch Floyd Sr and Margaret White of Spartanburg, SC.
