I am looking for any info on John Floyd,SR. He is my gggggg grandfather. I think he came from NY to VA sometime before 1765. His son Reuben was born in VA after 1765. The family moved to Chester County, SC and Reuben married Mary[Roberts or Jordan]. In addition to Reuben there was John,JR and David. John,JR left Chester Co in 1818 and John,SR may have gone with him as there is no other record of John,Sr afterwards in this area. If anyone has any info as to who John,Sr married or who his parents were it would be greatly appreciated.
I am also searching for info on my ggg uncle Anderson F. Floyd. He was born in AL in 1842. His parents were John[son of Reuben Floyd]and Margaret R. Mayo Floyd. His brothers were John M.,David Vant,Richard A.[my ggg grandfather],Hiram H.C.,and Robert H. His sisters were Lucinda M.E.and Eliza Caroline. Anderson was living with his parents in Tishomingo County,MS when the Civil War began. Not too long after after the war ended all account of Anderson stops. He didn't fight in the war and there is no marriage,death or any other type of record to be found. If anyone has any record about these two men I would really like to hear from you.
