Delighted to see your posting. I'm hoping that the inf I have will be helpful. And I would really appreciate knowing more of your data. Here's what I have:
DeKalb Co (Atlanta) 1850:
BOOTH, Jeptha, 29, labourer, b. GA.
Rebecca, 38, b. S.C.
Sarah S., 12, b. GA.
Mary M., 8, b. GA.
George W., 3, b. GA.
Floyd, Ira M., 23, carpenter, b. S.C.
Now, I found a Jeptha Floyd in 1860, S. C. (Clarendon District, Sandy Grove P. O.) p. 229. Also nearby were P. C. Floyd, Preston Floyd, S. L. Floyd, and Stephen J. Floyd. Others Floyds in Clarendon Co were A. J. Floyd, Elizabeth Floyd (2 of them), H. C. Floyd (2 of them), James Floyd, James S. Floyd, Jessee Floyd, John C. Floyd, and Noah Floyd.
In Darlington Co S.C. I found Rebecca Floyd 60-70 yrs with one daughter 15-20 yrs old. Nearby were Makajah Floyd, Allen Floyd, Comel Floyd and W. J. Floyd (all with families). I think this Rebecca may well be related to the Rebecca m. to Jeptha, and I think the Ira M. Floyd in the household with Jeptha and Rebecca is probably related as well.
I believe my gr'grandfather was the little 3 yr old boy, George W. Booth, and therefore I think Rebecca and Jeptha were his parents. I don't know about the 2 girls, because they are too old to belong to Jeptha. I'm hoping that by perhaps through people who know about Ira M. Floyd, I might learn more about Rebecca (Floyd?) Booth???
I hope I've shed some light for you, and that you can do the same for me. Thanks!
