Don't know anything about JAMES B FLOYD before I find him in TEXAS in 1850. Census records for ROBERT W FLOYD b.1841 give Tex as place of birth.

Only connection to SC is census records. His enumeration and later enumerations of his children consistently (one exception) say he was born in SC.

Margaret Floyd Couch in 1880 census shows father's place of birth as NC.
