My 3rd great grandfather Larry Flowers was married on March 27 1833 in Rutherford Co. TN. to Mayana Green.
Their son William Asa Flowers was born in Rutherford Co. TN in Dec 1836.
They later migrated to Dyer Co. TN. & can be found on the 1850 Dyer census next to Benjamin & Nancy Flowers.

Benjamin & Nancy could very well have come from Rutherford to Dyer County about the same time.

I'm not sure if Nancy's maiden name was Ford even though most genealogical info states that she was.

I'm also not sure if Larry is the son of Benjamin & Nancy. Oddly, there is another Larry in their household in 1850.
