As far as I know, the source of the Rutlandshire - Lamrock Flower connection was from a book, Genealogy of the Flower Family of New England in the Line of Joseph Flower by Samuel Flower published in Springfield MA in 1883. He gave not sources from this info but says Lamrock was son of Captain William Flower who was the son of Sir William Flower and Frances Weldon. From there he goes back through the line to 1386. I have gone through the parish records of both Whitwell and Oakham that are on film here in SLC as well as the various Visitations of Rutland and have found no information on any of these Flowers. Lamrock would almost certainly be in a parish register for his baptism. I did find some mention of Flowers in Leicestershire and Yorkshire.
Do you know which parish the Flowers in your posting might be found?
