It being a year since your post I don't know if you solved your riddle about Sarah:
What I believe is that she is the daughter of John and Christina Flora (1860 Jefferson Co. IL census, 1870 Coles Co. IL census).
I stumbled across this because my great-great grandmother was a Flora (her marriage record from Jeff. Co IL) and this named is spelled in every variably way.I am currently trying to prove her parentage.
Malissa Flora (right age etc to be daughter of John and Christina) married Samuel Musgrave at Jefferson Co. IL she is found in 1880 at Harrison, Chautauqua Co. KS.There is also another child from the John/Christina family Samuel and there is a Samuel Flora who is married and living at Harrison, Chautauqua Co. KS.This places three of the children from this family in close proximity and I believe they are indeed siblings and are the children of John and Christina Flora.
When you research the FLORA name always try, floro, florow, floer, flower, florer, florie, flory, fluro.
By the way did you know Sarah was at Miami Co. KS in 1900 and 1910.Lists her as the mother of four, two living.
Found possibly her children, in 1910 Kiowa Co. OK with Charles, son Henry from his 1st marriage and Earnest age 22 and Anna age 16 as I best recall.
Good luck, I hope you can hook up with the relatives of Sarah.
