Stephen According to the IGI Catherine was bapt (not born) 15 Dec 1736, dau of John, and I think she married John HALL 5 Dec 1758 at Easington. John had other children bp at Easington according to the IGI - Jane, John x2, Mary, William and Hannah, in the years 1735-1752. Unfortunately, the IGI makes no reference to his wife. My personal view is that it would be unusual (but not impossible of course) for someone at that time to live to be 94, but maybe John at Tunstall was his grandfather? There seem to be large gaps in the info from the IGI & in any case, I would be wary of relying on the IGI, as its coverage is not 100% (no comment on its accuracy). According to my old copy of Phillimore's, the coverage of Easington and Tunstall was very limited. Now, this may have improved, but it would be worthwhile checking with your local LDS Family History Centre a) the coverage for these parishes, and b) whether microfilm copies of the registers for the period you are interested in are available. I am likely to be visiting York library in mid-November, and I can see what they hold if you wish. Also, have you looked (for general info on the villages) at the GENUKI pages on Easington http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/YKS/ERY/Easington/ and Patrington http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/YKS/ERY/Patrington/index.html Best regards Andy Kerridge
