Cynthia
Marriage of George & Dinah - My mistake, instead of 1812, I should have put 1808 (I obviously got confused with the 12 of Jan - so now we have the two possible dates being closer together : 2 Nov 1807 at York, or 12 Jan 1808 @ Ampleforth. The latter date is from the IGI. With Christmas etc, I wonder if the first date is related to either calling of banns, or application for a marriage licence?

With regard to Thomas, their first son, the IGI has his baptism as 11 Sept 1808, not 1809 as you say - but that doesn't mean that I think the IGI is the correct one!

What was the descent of the family once they got into the USA? You can email me directly on akerridge@whopper.com if you wish.

Best regards

Andy
