Jacob Flint was born Abt. 1750 in Hillsborough NH, and died Aft. 1792.He married Elizabeth Bradford October 1777 in Hancock, Hillsborough, New Hampshire, daughter of Samuel Bradford and Mary Taylor. A NH rev war vet pension in 1833, he was 83 years old, had been a private in the NH Militia. In The History of Hillsborough county, NH Compiled under the superivsion of D. Hamilton Hurd, Pub Philadelphia by J.W. Lewis & Co.1885
p. 398 in a list of Revolutionary war veterans, and on page 422, in a list of Selectmen, in the
year 1780. Bradfords are mentioned as well..a Captain Samuel and a Lieutenant Samuel.
FromHistory of Hillsborough, N.H. 1735-1921, Vol II, Genealogy, pgs. 212-213:"This name appears early in the second settlement of Hillsborough, as it was in truth an early family in New England.Jacob Flint was certainly here in 1776, and probably had been here some years before that date.Tradition says he located on the place where Samuel O. Gibson later lived.There is good reason also to believe he lived in other parts of the town, but his name disappears from the tax list in 1803. whether by deathor removal is not certain.He was a brick mason.He m. in October, 1777, Elizabeth, dau. of Capt. Samuel and Mary (Taylor) Bradford.The History of Hancock credits him with being the father of ten children, but we have found record of but 7, and these records incomplete. (See Hancock.)

where he m. Novenber 14, 1815, Abigail, dau. of Rev. Reed and Hannah Paige;
rem. to Peterborough in 1830, where he d. November 6, 1848; his wid. d. in
Buffalo, N. Y., August 10, 1880.They had six children.
5. William B., b. (date unknown); m. February 16, 1815, Jane M. Whitcomb, of
Hancock, where he res. until about 1817, when he rem. to Detroit, Mich.,
where he d. within a few mos.; his wife remained in Hancock where she d.
March 28, 1819.A son b. August 30, 1815, who rem. to Maine, N.Y., where he
d. March 4, 1885, leaving a dau. Esther J., b. September 6, 1839; m. April
12, 1860, Charles G. Bowers.
Besides these, the names of Sally and Samuel Graves are given on the church
records under the date of February 20, 1792."
