Hello Vivian Flint and Thomas Flint. My name is Doug Ivie. I am looking for any information I can get on a George Barstow, born in Manchester, Hillsborough, New Hampshire in or about 1815, 1817, 1825. He was a lawyer know as Little Ironsides and practice law in Massachusetts, ran unsuccessfully as a Democrat for the State Legislature and for Congress. He wrote "The History of New Hampshire published is 1852. He migrated to San Francisco and practice law. As a Republican, he was elected Speaker of the 13th California State Assembly in 1862. According to a California census document, his wife's name was Emily from either Neopachusetts of Massachusetts. Do you have any information of this George Barstow?
Thanks, Doug Ivie - dougeivie@gmail.com
