Hi!
You have requested information about people in my family tree. I am descended from the Harriet Flint (Daughter of William Flint and Mary Ann Gale) you mentioned. Harriet married Edward Jackson. In a Flint/Jackson family tree book researched by my great aunt the story is that 3 Flint brothers (John, William and Richard) came to Ontario in the early/mid 1800s with their families. On the FLDS site I can find that Robert Flint and Hannah Peach had sons William and Richard, but not John. A third son (George) and a daughter (Jane) are also mentioned but appear to have remained back in Yorkshire. I have been confused about John, as to whether or not he is perhaps a cousin of William and Richard and not a brother. You mentioned that he was married to Sarah Cook. In my family tree he is married to Betty Peach but I have not yet found her relationship to Hannah Peach. My notes say that she is, however, the cousin of Mary Ann Gale.
Tracing back from Robert Flint (married to Hannah Peach), I believe I have found his father (Edward) and grandfather (Richard)but that's as far back as I can go.
I don't know whether this helps or not since it seems that your John Flint is different from mine.
I'd appreciate comparing notes with you!
