David Flint in Robert Sanford's will in Halifax Co., VA, 1781

I am interested in learning about the David Flint who was named in the 1781 will of Robert Sanford in Halifax County, Virginia. (will book 1, page 402)
Robert Sanford was married to Kerenhappuch Turner. She was mentioned in the will. It also mentioned Robert’s brother-in-law James Turner and his wife’s brother-in-law James Smith. Actually, it was to the children of Flint, Turner and Smith that Robert left property.
David Flint may be another brother-in law, but I can’t find any connection. I’d be grateful for information about how he was related. Does anyone reading this forum know?
