I researched my Welch Flint ancestors back to Salem Ma. in the 1600s. My problem was that I had to sort them out from the English Flints. As far as I can tell, John Ephream is the father of Robert the pioneer. They were from the English line. My ancestors eventually migrated to Oneida County New York. Did you know that some of Robert's heirs also moved from Montgomery to Oneida Ny? I have a chart of burials of all Flints in Oneida including spouses. Robert's line mostly lived in the town of Ava and are buried there. The Oneida county website has some info on them and the oldfulton historical newspaper site has lots of Oneida newspapers.
